Buenos Aires, March 26 (NA) — Argentine tennis player Francisco Cerúndolo (18th) will face Germany's Alexander Zverev (3rd) on Thursday in a bid to secure a spot in the Miami Masters 1000 semifinals. The match, which will be the final event of the day, is scheduled for 20:00 local time (Argentina) and will take place on the main court. This will be the seventh encounter between Cerúndolo and Zverev, who are tied at 3-3 in their head-to-head history. Although the Argentine won the first three meetings, the tide has turned in favor of the German in the last three. The Miami Masters 1000 tournament has clearly been a successful one for Cerúndolo, as he has reached at least the quarterfinals in four of the five editions he has played, including the current one. His best performance in this competition was reaching the semifinals in 2022, where he lost to Norwegian Casper Ruud.
